ENERGY SYSTEMS AND CONSOLES AT AUTOMÄSSAN
We just came home from Automässan and are firm believers that our participation in a large exhibition must be the best way to start up a new year. Our product focus at the exhibition was given; to showcase our product and solutions tailor made for light commercial vehicles and personal cars. This included an opportunity for us to present our new investment in energy systems, power supply and consoles. Our supplier Ideatec joined us at the fare and demonstrated their console Polaris.

ALL IN WHEN T.U.R & CO HOLDS OPEN HOUSE
T.U.R & Co is a well-run and neat spare part shop in Tumba, south of Stockholm. Ulf owns the store and T.U.R & Co boasts a wide supply of parts for commercial vehicles, chemicals, work clothing, batteries and much more. Ulf and his colleagues arrange an open house twice a year. They invite customers, suppliers and business representatives and create a dynamic meeting venue in the shop. The day is filled with good food, coffee, activities, lucrative offers and possibilities to establish new business connections.

We want to introduce you to our customer Demir Maskin & Entreprenad i Södertälje, where we have the pleasure to meet Sebastian Demir who owns the company and runs the operation. After a short chat about the company we are impressed by how simple and genius the business model is. Demir Maskin & Entreprenad can solve all customer problems and offer a one-stop-shop including both a store and a workshop. Sebastian has in earlier interviews declared that; “The customer can call us at any hour. We handle all matters from flooded basements to sewage problems and faulty excavators”.

We visited Ströman Maskin in Kungälv and met with JP who has been in the company since 2005. JP tells us that Ströman’s top priority is quality and safety. These two key factors are always taken into account when JP and his colleagues build and equip machines for street sweeping and road maintenance. Ströman has helped to make the streets in Sweden safe for road workers, traffic and pedestrians since 1960. The product offer is wide and include street sweepers, sand and salt spreaders, fluid spreaders and snow plows.

We visited Leif Mählström at Bärgningsbolaget i Katrineholm to see what they focus on when equipping their tow trucks. Bärgningsbolaget is family run business with a fleet of three tow trucks and one truck mounted attenuator. We ask what they look for when choosing lighting for their trucks and they answer in unison that finding products that combine top quality with a powerful light output is their priority. The majority of the work done by Bärgningsbolaget i Katrineholm is roadside on heavily trafficked streets and highways. Thus roadside safety is paramount and Leif and his son are always looking for ways to increase the safety for all road users.

We have developed an efficient product and distribution solution in close cooperation with one of Sweden’s leading fork lift manufacturers. We supply a light where both the cable length of the lamp and the lamp connector is tailor made for the material handler. The solution is supplied in master boxes with the lamp bracket already assembled, saving valuable assemby time.

This project was a collaboration with one of Sweden’s largest import harbors. They requested an automatic work light to be fit on the roof of mail distribution vehicles, which helps the driver delivering mail. Our challenge was to find a solution with minimal interference on the electrical system of the car and that was approved by the vehicle manufacturer.

HBA released two custom fit led bar solutions, just in time for the launch of Volvos new cabin FH16. The solutions consist of brackets and cable harnesses, and is a result of a close cooperation between HBA and Volvo Truck Shop. The first solution is a grillkit that features two Linear 12 LED bars from Lazer Lamps. The grillkit is quick and easy to install and the result is a superior light with a seamless look.Solution number two includes no less than three Lazer Lamps Triple-R 1000 bars with integrated warning light. The solution is also offered with Lazer’s popular Triple-R 1000 light bar.

We cooperate with one of the industry’s largest truck stops and out sales manager works closely with their production manager. The manager tells us that the number of truck lights requested by the end user is steadily increasing. He emphasizes on the importance of shortening production lead times and finding solutions that simplify the assembly. He explains how the “pre-assembly” work must be done by the supplier. Our sales manager describes how we work tight with the customer to find ways to make handling and assembly more efficient which reduces the time a truck spends in the work shop.

"He explains: “Our relationship with the manufacturer has deepened which has allowed us to present a number of customer specific special products. A few examples are a light with a fitted original connector, tailor made stainless brackets for quick mounting of work lights, warnings lights and auxiliary lights.

We see the collaboration as a unique opportunity to develop our technical knowledge and understanding for the customers need and this drives us to find tailor made and vehicle specific products and solutions. Over the years our relationship to the customer has grown further and now includes an entire warning light concept for trucks that do road construction. We have presented a package that entails directional warning lights mounted in the front of the truck, on the sides of the truck and at the rear of the truck. Along with this comes LED rotating beacons placed by the taillights and a warnings light bar on the roof of the truck. All lights are connected to the dipping lights, which results in automatic dimming of both warning light and LED bar at dusk. All products have been modified and optimized for fast and easy handling and assembly.
